Capital Property Development is a privately owned real estate investment and development company, headquartered in Montréal, Québec. For almost 40 years, we have owned, developed, and actively managed a portfolio of open-air lifestyle centres and mixed-use properties — now expanding into multi-family residential across Canada and the U.S.
From that retail success came a pivotal insight: instead of Mobilia leasing space, why not build a centre and have Mobilia as the anchor tenant. That idea gave birth to Capital Property Development in 1987 — launching a family enterprise that would grow from that one table into eleven commercial centres across Canada, 100% privately owned and directly managed. From our initial investment, we continue to hold all our properties.
